Dr. Deni teaches an elective on NATO at the U.S. Army War College, and he has previously taught an elective on Congress and U.S. Foreign Policy there as well. He is also an adjunct professor at the American University's School of International Service in Washington, DC, where he teaches graduate practica on intelligence analysis.
Previously, Dr. Deni taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels at Heidelberg University, Germany’s oldest university and one of Europe’s premier academic institutions. His course offerings in Heidelberg included:
U.S. Foreign Policy, including themes and history, key actors, the interagency process, and executive decision-making.
NATO and the U.S. Role in European Security, including the alliance’s organizational evolution and new missions since the Cold War.
U.S. Security Policy Since 9/11.
